Were they even humans? How the hell can they do that to someone, they weren't tactical or smart, they were downright evil, they proved themselves to be a beast from hell, and for that they are not going to leave unscathed.
Every single one of them took a part in what happened and they are going to get it back in double folds.
He pulled Sapphire closer to himself and she snapped to get out of the haze she was stuck in, she raised her head to stare at him and it seemed to have glossed over with unshed tears, as soon as their eyes came into contact, she immediately averted her eyes.
Somehow Alexander seemed to know that the story wasn't over and he also knew that was probably all that Sapphire could tell him.
'Sweetheart," he said in a low voice but she couldn't bring herself to stare straight into his eyes.
'I feel so self-conscious, Alexander, I feel like now that you know it, you would not look at me the way you used to anymore," She said, sniffing.
'You have to see for yourself before you decide that, I told you Sapphire, I would not love you less after whatever you tell me before you told me this," he said.
'I am damaged, deranged and weak,"
'But you are also strong, capable and beautiful,"
'I am tainted,"
'I never asked for innocence. I wasn't blind when I insisted on getting married to you, nothing made me flinch and nothing would probably make me move back, I meant it when I said that you are mine, all of you."
'I am not perfect,"
'I never expected you to be without flaws and all these tidbits are what makes you who you are today, I probably won't like you if you had remained that innocent lady you were those years, everything happens for a reason, they dragged you through hell in order to make you end up here, in your own paradise," he said, resting both his hands on her cheeks like she is a fragile glass. 'With me, the kids and your friends. So raise your head and look into my eyes."
She raised her head and breathed in relief, what she saw made her feel like she was just redeemed, nothing suddenly matters anymore and it was easier to breathe.
It is true what most people say, everything becomes more beautiful when the most burdens stop mattering to you.
'You are beautiful," he said when she smiled happily, the corners of her eyes crinkling in genuine happiness.
'Let's go home," she said with a wide smile and he raised a brow at her. 'Home is anywhere with you and the kids, and I don't see those little darlings anywhere in sight."
'Hmm..Okay," he said with a smile and helped stand on her feet before leading her to the car. He helped her settle on her seat and also sat behind the wheels. She turned to stare at her with a smile on her lips.
'I would love it if you speed up, I can hear our bed suddenly calling unto me, you might want to speed up," she told him and he stared at her in surprise before he faced front and sped away, into the night.

'What the hell are you talking about?" Venita screamed at her manager over the phone but the man said nothing, he could only feel thankful that he was not in her sight at that moment. 'You mean someone from the company posted a video of me bullying my subordinates and it is the most trending search at the moment?"
The question sounded ridiculous to her ears, she was lounging around that she was not involved in the Conrad mess and this had to rise up.
'Yes,"
'Yes? Yes? You have the nerve to say that, why the hell are you even my manager, why on earth are you so dumb? A video is going viral about me and it is not the good kind, it had been just three hours and your brain didn't tell you to bring it down?"
'Err… well.. I tried to do that Venita, but I can't trace the source, in short it couldn't be brought down and my phone is blowing up with calls and messages from reporters, it would only be in matter of minutes before that is done to you too, I hope that you are at the Conrad's mansion,"
'What does our house have anything to do with what is happening?"
'That is the only place you can get utmost security right now, that is the only place those reporters can't infiltrate," he said and paused for a bit, he seemed to have been interrupted by someone. 'I am just informed that they are making a camp in front of your apartment. I know that the Conrad family don't like anyone getting involved in their business so matriarch Emiliana would never let them near her house," He said and Venita scoffed in disbelief.
'What the.."
'I have got to move right now, I would talk to you later,"
'Don't you dare hang up that---' She screamed but she already heard the beep that signaled the disconnection of the call.
'Damn you!" She screamed, throwing away her phone but fortunately it landed on the couch that was pushed against the wall, she ran her hand through her head and wonder who the hell posted the video, she rushed to her phone and before she could search for anything, it brought the notification of her scandal as trending and she threw her phone away once again when she saw the video.
This time the phone hit the wall and shattered on the fall, every single piece in different directions but she couldn't be bothered, this thing would cost her a lot, she just did an advert for a brand that emphasized on love and affection regardless of class.
'Fuck!" She screamed and ran her hand through her hair once again.
'You look nothing short of deranged," she heard and turned to look at the person who just talked. She scoffed when she saw Melissa standing there with a smile on her face, she was dressed in a beautiful white evening gown.
'And you look like a big plastic bag," Venita bit back and Melissa rolled her eyes in irritation.
'Seems like Sapphire is the only one flexing at the moment, I mean, she got the award for the most loyal woman and had a field day at the Danavivie's' ' Melissa said and Venita ran her hand through her hair once again. 'She even told grandma that we should postpone our breakfast to dinner she won't have to seat with our pathetic self,"
'What the hell do you want?"
'A hundred million dollars," Melissa said and Venita raised a brow at her ridiculous cousin, what is the psycho going on about? 'That is what got you in all this mess,"
'Are you here to show me how qualified you are to become an history teacher, stop your stupid nonsense and get the hell away from my door,"
'Work for me and I would make all of these disappear,"
'Are you nuts?"
'I stand on what I said, you work for me and won't have to deal with this nonsense, and all of it will be gone, poof," she raised her hand and waved it in her hair, a smile on her lips. 'like a bubble."
'You make me want to gouge your eyes out, Melissa. You are the one that uploaded the video right?"
'No, I am not, Alexander and his big family did,"
'That is nonsense, the Aldine don't involve themselves in anything happening below them, we aren't just up to their league,"
'Then congratulations, our evil ways just caught their eyes, Sapphire had told us to her dear husband and they are now ready to play with us. The only safe people are probably, granny, Ruby and Maxwell..maybe Matthew too, I am not sure."
'Sapphire?"
'I am only giving you the night to think about it, you are only safe with me, I am sure that Oliver is not going to offer you another hundred million dollars, I am your best and unfortunately only bet, the decision is up to you," She said and walked away, a smile on her face and Venita scoffed, that idiot wanted to turn her to puppet, a puppet she could control, she must have something up her sleeve.
Her second phone beeped and she rushed to it, she raised a brow in surprise when she saw Oliver's name written boldly on the screen.
'Let us proceed with the plan," he said and her eyes widened in surprise.
'What…"
'I am ready to abandon Heather, let us find a way to meet tonight," He said and she nodded before hanging up the call, an evil smirk crossed her lips.
She exhaled in delight and went to pour herself a glass of wine, she raised to her lips and sipped some of the red liquid.
'Melissa be damned. Oliver just called." She said and laughed maniacally, Arielle who had been standing by the door just shook her head at the absurdity of the situation in the Conrad household.
