'Nothing, I want nothing from you," Tina replied but Sapphire raised her brow at her in disbelief. 'Okay, maybe a little bit of cooperation," She added.
'Cooperation? For what? As far as I am concerned you don't have any problem with Oliver and Venita," Sapphire replied.
'Yeah, I don't have an issue known to the public," She paused to stare at her manicured fingers and painted nails 'but actually, I hate both of them more than I do to anyone right now," Tina replied with gritted teeth and Sapphire stared at her in askance.
'Explain," she told the woman curtly."I am a model and so is Venita," Tina said and Sapphire nodded, it is too early to assume anything.'You want to be the model for his new cosmetic products?"
'No," Tina said with a disgusted look. 'Of course not, he is a douchebag. He double crosses me every time at Venita's request. I am not able to do anything in that company anymore because of that," She replied, angrily.
'So you just came here to rant?" Sapphire asked, taking a sip from the can in her hand while Tina blinked at her owlishly. 'Sorry, you got the wrong person, your reasoning is so weak,"
'That is not all, I am able to bag a contract with your husband's company to be a model for a new product of theirs and even though Oliver and Venita had tried every possible means to make them break the contract and take Venita instead, they refused." Tina explained.
'So?"
'The only solution is to wreck it all from my side because there is nothing they can do when the Aldines are involved, so they made a plan,"
'To?"
'Brand me as a damn druggie," She finished, gnashing her teeth and Sapphire eyes widened a bit.
They are doing it again, they are trying to ruin someone else again. She had her baby to help her go through it with her focus not on the news.It had worked for her, she didn't care about the mass media and social media, but for someone like Tina whose daily activities revolved around the mass media and social media? She won't be able to live through it.
She had been there, so she knows what it is like, she could describe it in a lot of words but any positive words were not part of it.
'Drugs? How did you know about that?" Sapphire asked, she is pretty sure that neither Venita nor Oliver told her about it, they weren't that dumb.
'I heard them at the parking lot, was behind a pole, at the building at night even though I was supposed to have left in the afternoon because I was delayed," She replied, anyone could tell that she is bothered. 'adding to that, one of my trainee said that something funny is going on among Venita and her trainee, they are acting all buddy-buddy and close,"
Sapphire hummed internally, she wondered what Oliver did for Venita this time to get her to model for SJAY, seems like she got her answer now.
'And how is that strange?"
'Must I really tell you that? Venita is your cousin for goodness sake, you of all people would know that she is the most arrogant person you have ever met,"
'No, I don't think that, my family is full of arrogant asses,"
'Sorry, forgot for a moment that you are a Conrad," She said, tersely.'So what do you need my help for?"
'I know that I am not smart and I have a limited access to connection and information, I want you to help me devise a plan to stop them, I will monitor Venita from inside while you keep your eyes out for Oliver fucking Gray
'That sounds like it benefits you only,"
'Yeah, it sounds like that but isn't, if you do this, I would owe you a favor and adding to that I would find out where she get the drugs she frame people every time with,"
'People?"
'We aren't the only ones that suffered in her hands, there may be four or five people that she ruined their lives with. That time when there were several news reports about celebrities using drugs excessively, Venita might have a hand in it," Tina explained. 'and we would have more people on our hands, my friend would also join in this plan because she has some kind of grudge against Oliver,"
'That's acceptable but before that, you have to proceed with the first step of a plan, a girl just applied as a trainee in your company, she has been given a model yet,"
'You want me to take her under my wings?"
'No," Sapphire said and Tina raised a brow at her.
'Then?"
'Make sure that she gets under Venita's wing," She replied and Tina was surprised.
'Why would you want that? Where is the logic in it?" She asked, and Sapphire turned to stare into eyes.
'Ever heard this sentence? Enemies out of the house are dangerous but Enemies in the house are monstrous. I happened to have a lot enemies in the house with me," Sapphire said with an evil smirk. 'Her name is Hanna Rodriguez,"
'Okay," Tina said and turned to go but Sapphire's voice stopped her.
'Can you try to remove a single feather from Venita's wing? Since she is arrogant and all that should be fairly easy, feel free to ask Hannah for help and thanks for those comments at the party, sorry I didn't give you my attention like you wanted,"
'About time you figured that out." Tina said and walked away with a smirk on her face.
Katie stood some feet away, staring at Tina as she walked away, she had her hand crossed over her chest and a frank expression on her face, she turned her gaze to Sapphire calculatingly, the woman was sipping on juice like she didn't make a plan on how to ruin someone.
She didn't know much about this woman but she is definitely not the weird woman she portrayed herself to be.
'Boom!" Someone said beside her and she flinched, she rolled her eyes when she saw that it was Candy.
'What now?"
'Why are you two here?" she asked, Sapphire turned to look at them, she stared at the woman in a weird way but it didn't even freak her out.
'Just enjoying the view," Sapphire said, gesturing to the lobby where Venita and Oliver were walking towards the exit, a lot of executives trailing after them and nodding, Candy shook her head at the woman.
There was nothing interesting about the lobby.The meeting was over.
'The question should be what are you doing here?" Katie asked and Candy nodded.
'I cant believe that Nita is as rude as that, to think that I placed all my hopes on her," Belle groaned, walking to where they were.'Why are you all here?"
'Enjoying the view," Sapphire replied again and Katie almost scoffed, was she for real?
Belle also looked around trying to see the view Sapphire was enjoying, she clapped her hand when he saw Oliver walking to the elevator.
'Such a nice view he is," Candy said, giggling and Sapphire let out a goofy smile.'Right, that reminds me. Mr. Gray wants to meet you, you should go to his office, that is the reason why I am here" She added.
'What kind of investor has an office in their office," Sapphire muttered.
'The kind of Mr. Gray," Candy defended the man.
'Why would Mr. Gray want you in his office?" Katie asked, staring straight into Sapphire's eyes, silently challenging her, a polite smile on her lips. The question made both Candy and Belle stop to think.
'Why don't you come along to ask him if you want to know so badly?" Sapphire asked sarcastically, but did so in a totally innocent way that anyone would consider cute and the smile dropped from Katie's lips.
