'I know that you would be fine Melissa, you are the General Manager of one of the biggest companies out there, your salary would be huge, you would be able to get by too, Arielle, you are in charge of a growing company too, but there much to think about you, mom, I don't think you would have that luxury," Sapphire said and sucked her teeth as she shook her head in thought. 'You had better start looking for a job to do since all you ever did is stay at home like you got no energy, or you can still continue to do that and manage the money in your house card, I am leaving the choice to you."

'You bitch! That's no way to talk to your mother!"

'Your first two words made it quite clear that the position is not valid. That's your daughter right there," she replied pointing to Melissa who was still glaring at her. 'You can let me be, I don't mind one bit," she added.

'As if she would ever refer to you as her daughter!" Melissa barked and Sapphire rolled her eyes in irritation.

'Are you deaf? She just did that when she called herself my mother but it is okay we both know that she didn't mean that and would never mean it." Sapphire answered, her eyes flickered to the maid who was passing by while strictly minding her business and she stopped her.

'Get me all of the maids that are present in here please, I have something to discuss with them," she told her politely with a small smile and the woman nodded before walking away.

'What the hell are you up to?" Venita asked, just entering the room but Sapphire didn't spare her a glance.

The woman came back shortly with all of the maids, a total of ten women, all of different age and complexion.

'I called all of you here to inform you that I am reliving you of your services, I have discussed the matter with your agencies, since the contract you signed is up I am not going to renew it, I just felt the need to inform you of that since you have been here for so long, it would be rude to just dismiss you guys like that," Sapphire explained and the maids nodded in understanding while the rest of the family just stood there watching her in disbelief.

'How on earth can you dismiss them? Who would do all the things that needed to be done?" Arielle asked but was ignored by Sapphire.

'We understand ma'am, thanks for thinking that we are important enough for the information, that means a lot," the head maid replied.

It was obvious that none of the maids wanted to work at the Conrad Mansion anymore since Madam Emiliana who used to protect them against her awful family is dead.

'As a commemoration for your years of effective service, I present you these," Sapphire said, removing ten envelopes from her bag and distributing it to them, their names written on it.

'You. . . You don't have to do this, Ms." The head maid stuttered.

'No, it is not from me, as much as I would like to take the honor of doing it, it would be better if I admit that grandmother was the one that left it for you, please don't reject it," Sapphire said and they all nodded before making their way out of the place.

'Not only did you limit the transactions we can do with our cards, you are chasing the maids out of the mansion? Have you finally gone crazy?!" Melissa yelled at her and Sapphire chuckled sarcastically.

'What? Isn't that good? You guys have always wanted a crazy first daughter, you complained over and over again that I am dumb and stupid, isn't it fantastic that I am finally living up to the reputation expected of me? Don't tell me that I exceeded your expectations," Sapphire replied and Melissa exhaled in disbelief.

'Who would do all the house chores?"

'You can hire an agency and pay them, form a time table or make her do everything and pay her stipends, she has nothing to do anyway and the card restriction is going to affect her badly," Sapphire said, gesturing to Marylynne.

'What? You restricted our cards? Isn't that abuse of your powers, simply because you are the owner of the house doesn't mean that you can do all that!" Venita said but Sapphire simply took a seat on the chair her grandmother used to sit.

'Abuse of power or not, I would do whatever I want with my house, if it doesn't please you, you can move out of the house but just like I said, don't forget to leave the card behind. You won't have too much of a problem if you do that, Venita. You have your own personal house and you are a model, you also have shares in the companies, even though they are miniscule. You would get to be able to live your life as normal as before," Sapphire replied with a sarcastic smile and Venita wondered what her cousin was up to. 'Too bad for all of you, you can only be eligible to get your inheritance after five years or you wouldn't have these problems. I wonder why grandmother did that to all of you," She added, a cocky smile on her lips.

'Don't feel too proud about the shares you have, what fifty percent share are you ranting about? Or do you simply believe all that because grandmother says so? Adding your share and grandmother's share, it is just a bit over twenty percent of the company share," Arielle snapped at her.

'Twenty six point five one seven percent to be precise," Melissa added.

'What I choose to believe is none of your business." Sapphire answered.

'You think all those shareholders would allow your u to be the CEO just because grandmother jotted that down? Dream on! That is a freaking fairy tale," Melissa said with a mocking smile and a smirk pulled up on Sapphire's face, the kind of smirk that makes it very obvious that you are up to something.

'Too bad, I am Cinderella, the epitome of fairy tale and you would have to live with that, but I am not going to talk with all of you right now, let's do that tomorrow," she said and stood up. 'Arrange a conference meeting tomorrow with the shareholders and executive members, I would like to have a word or two with them." She was now staring at Melissa.

'I am not your subordinate!"

'No, you are not. Because you are my lackey," she said and made her way out of the place.

The conference room was filled to the brim the next day, every single major shareholder in the company were present, as well as the executives and the members of the Conrad Family who had some important things to say and listen to.

Even though Sapphire screamed the previous day that she wouldn't bother gathering everyone, she still went ahead to do it because she feels that it would benefit her more.

'Let's see if she would still have her arrogant face when she is done with the meeting," Melissa said with a smirk on her face as she watched Sapphire walk to the chair at the top of the table.

'Definitely not! I am sure the shareholders would vote against it," Melissa added.

Sapphire had a steely look as she went to take a seat on the chair, her eyes ran over everyone present in the room before she began her announcement.

She talked about the fact that she is the CEO of the company and her visions and missions, what she was set to achieve, Melissa scoffed when she said that she is going on to make SJAY a part of the company and then she rounded up the discussion by sarcastically asking for their help and cooperation.

'I would like it if the shareholders and the family stayed behind," she added and the executives nodded before walking out of the room. 'I think we have a lot to discuss, don't we?" She asked with a sarcastic smile.
