They were in their room, and the kids decided that it would be fun to have some fun before they go to sleep.
They did make it clear that they would not sleep in there because Sapphire got on their nerves.
Sometimes it is hard that they weren't already teenagers, it made them wonder what kind of disaster they would cause and the havoc they would wreck once they reach the rebellious teens age.
'I totally trust that you did, dad. I am so glad that you are really our dad, there would be no idiot coming about claiming that he is our dad," Andrea said with an exaggerated eye roll.
'No human deserves to be called an idiot, Andrea," Andrew said and Andrea raised a brow at him in disbelief.
'What is wrong with this hypocrite? And I remembered that I said idiot, I didn't mention anything about him being human," Andrea replied. 'He is even worse than an animal, talking about the things he did to mom, you saw it all."
'I guess you are right, he is an exception," Andrew replied after thinking about it.
'By the way, aren't you going to Monaco anymore?" Andrea asked, turning to look at her father.
'We planned to and we are still going to, we just have a lot on our hands now that we can't afford to leave New York now," Alexander answered.
'I hope that it will clear out during the breaks so that we can go together. You don't know how jealous Amy and Cassie were when I mentioned a trip to Monaco briefly. They also wanted to go there," Andrea said with a giggle.
There, she felt and looked like a kid. She talked about her age.
'Just don't reconsider going, I think that mom needs some new place in order to unwind," Andrew said and Sapphire nodded.
'I most definitely need that, I need to unwind, all the events happened suddenly, I haven't got a chance to take a deep breath yet," Sapphire said and squeezed his cheeks which made him giggle. 'Andrew, you still know me the best," She added.
'Come on, Andrew, let's go and wish all of them a good night, especially Aunt Alyssa. I heard she had a hard day today, an important deal fell through because of that mom's sister," Andrea said and Andrew nodded, moving towards her sister.
The sister she talked about must be Arielle.
'How did you hear all these?" Sapphire asked and her kids rolled their eyes.
'From Ruby duh!" Andrea said like it was super obvious.
'If you want to know about Aunt Alyssa's day, just ask Ruby and about Aunt Luci, call Zayn." Andrew added and Sapphire nodded with a knowing look on her face.
'It may not look like it but we have a good relationship with all of them, after all they are our uncles," Andrea said, flipping her hair before dragging Andrew out of the room.
Sapphire stared at the door they passed through with a grin on her face, it was nice to see them get along with a lot of people.
'And mom," Andrea said, popping her head in and Sapphire turned to her to let her know that she was listening. 'Don't forget the play date we have with Amy tomorrow," She reminded her mom.
'Alright, I won't dare to do that, you have it after school tomorrow, right? Don't worry I won't disappoint, I have nowhere to go anyway," She answered, Andrea winked and then she was gone.
'What play date?" Alexander asked and Sapphire moved closer to him, intertwining their legs together, she always wanted their skin to touch one way or the other and as much as possible.
'What play date is she talking about?" Alexander asked.
'They have a play date with Amy, that kid who Miranda is taking care of at the moment. I want to use this opportunity to get closer to Miranda, find some useful information and also to get a clear picture of her face for the meeting I have later with the Smiths later in the evening, that would get them to move." She informed and he nodded in understanding.
'Are you sure that you don't need my help in any way?" He asked with worried eyes and Sapphire smiled at him before kissing his nose.
He looks cute when he worries about her when there is no need to be worried.
'Except for keeping your eyes and ears on me every time even though I insist that I can manage, I don't think I want you to do anything else.
You being here every time even though you have a super tight schedule is enough, I know how busy it gets when you are the CEO of a small company, talk less of a conglomerate like Aldine group, seeing you every night and knowing that you still love me is enough, I won't demand more that I know is possible, it would be unreasonable," Sapphire answered.
'You can be as unreasonable as you can be when it has to be with me, I promised that I would do everything you ask, didn't I?" He asked and she shook her head.
'And I am telling you that this is okay, I promise to tell you when it gets overwhelming," She said and pecked his lips before moving back a bit but still very close to her and he just continued staring at her face. 'I always call you when it gets to that stat stage, don't I?"
'I suppose that you do," he grumbled nodding and Sapphire only chuckled, before shuffling around and laying her head on his legs and staring up at his face while they face the opened window that gave the perfect view of the sky, there moon was dim but there were a lot of stars littering the sky.
'How does it feel to be a billionaire?' Sapphire asked, observing the sky that looks so similar to her life situation.
'Being a billionaire?" He asked and she hummed. 'Why do you ask?"
'I just inherited a whole lot of things today, there is this huge company that I was given the position of the CEO and there are more than twenty companies where I own fifty percent shares, I am the owner of that huge mansion, and fifteen billion dollars," she answered.
'Tell me what you feel at the moment,"
'Except the fact that I am at ease and content that I have you, the kids and my friends, I don't feel anything else," Sapphire answered. 'At the moment when I was given the content of my inheritance back in the Conrad Mansion, everything felt blank, both my emotions and feelings."
'That's because it is not something you have always desperately wanted or your subject of interest. I am sure that your reactions and emotions would be different if it had been something you had spent a long time fighting for. If it had been Melissa that got the C.E.O position she would be over the moon," Alexander answered and Sapphire stared at him before turning her eyes back to the sky which had turned to his point of focus while he ran his hand through her curls.
'That's true. It is like finding out that the kids were really yours, at that moment, my emotion were a bit spilt, I was hurt and angry that the kids mother were there but there is this part that was ecstatic that you are their father, even now when I think about it I can't help the feeling of happiness." She said with a small smile. 'I just don't see how to use it."
'It is not necessary that you feel anything but it is sure that it would come in handy one day, you would be very glad that you have it.
I must say that your grandmother left you quite the gift, that inheritance is very useful.
So are you going to start work there as the CEO or you would put someone there for the meantime?"
'I don't know, I haven't thought that far, I just know that the board of the executives and shareholders can't be trusted. Last I heard, they were following Melissa around like a bunch of lost puppies after ditching Felix. Just the thought of joining that company is some sort of bad cult is already giving me a migraine," Sapphire complained. 'But I can't leave grandmother's company in the hands of those Casanovas who may possibly be the one who caused her death in order to devour her company."
'No, you can't. I would help in every possible way even if you don't ask," He assured her and she nodded while they continued staring at the late night sky in one another's embrace.

The next day, Sapphire walked in steady strides towards the receptionist that was standing behind the counter, she was dressed to perfection and at first glance anyone would think that she is some sort of model with her classy clothes and expensive accessories, her designer sunglasses perched on her nose and her hair pulled into a ponytail, her six inches heels clicking on the floor and attracting the attention of passersby but she didn't mind.
She was set to meet the Smith family and she wanted to look every inch like the wife of the Aldine household, which would make them listen to her more.
She is also set to visit the Conrad Mansion to clear some issues with her family but the most pressing things must be sorted out first.
'I have a reservation with the Smiths," She said with a sweet smile, placing her bag on the counter while the receptionist continued staring at her with dreamy eyes, she definitely looked like the exact person some girls want to be like when they reach adulthood.
