'My god, you should imagine my shock when I heard the news, I almost laughed at the cruel joke and rumors your family was passing around," Luci added, sitting on the chair opposite Sapphire's chair, the surprise was still evident on her face.
'Yes, she died today, turns out she had diabetes and slipped into a diabetic coma, passed on from there," she summarized and both women nodded.
'But are you okay?" Claire asked and Sapphire nodded.
'I don't think that is, judging by the look on your face and how pale it is, what are you doing here at work? Everyone wouldn't point at you for taking a week off because your grandmother who is very close with you is dead," Luci added and Sapphire just shook her head.
'Alexander allowed you to come here today? Why is that?" Claire asked, staring at her with stink eyes.
'Luci, Claire. I was informed yesterday afternoon that grandmother was involved in everything that happened three years ago," Sapphire replied.
'What the hell?" Luci said.
'In fact, she is the one that planned everything from beginning to end, she knew all about it," she added.
'That's a lie," Claire said with firm belief.
'Damn straight it is. You seriously didn't believe that, did you? That woman was always there for you," Luci added and Sapphire smiled ruefully.
'That's why this is hard." She said, 'You should listen to this first," she added and let them listen to the voice recording that was sent to her.
'I still don't believe that. It is some sort of manipulation or something," Luci added after they finished listening to the voice recording. Sapphire was pleased and in awe of the trust that the two had in her grandmother.
They were right to believe so much in her, she used to talk about her like a god to them when talking about the woman and she displayed how much she loved her when she came back to New York.
'But I slipped into that subconscious motionless space that used to happen in my early years at Gisborne and asked Alexander to come and get me," Sapphire said and both Luci and Claire were staring at her with serious expression.
'He took care of me and I called grandmother to ask for all of it, she admitted to doing all of it."
'Shit!" Luci exclaimed.
'I didn't allow her to explain and just turned to Alexander for comfort and he offered a lot of it, the right amount I needed. I decided to spend today in a very happy mood, I wasn't planning to come to work, I just wanted to spend the entirety of the day with him. Then the doorbell rang and I went to see who was there. I saw that it was this woman I met at a Cafe. We had a nice conversation there. I invited her in and long story short, she said she is Sheila Davis."
'What the fuck? Isn't that Alexander's ex-fiancee?" Luci asked with wide eyes. 'I thought she was dead!"
'That makes two of us," Claire added.
'Apparently she was back for Alexander and the kids." Sapphire informed.
'I understand if she is back for Alexander but what is business with the kids, I . . ." Luci trailed off with squinted eyes that widened in horror when her train of thought assembled together.
'Don't. . ." Claire said in shock and Sapphire nodded to confirm that they were right.
'And Alexander is their biological father," Sapphire added.
'I thought Kat said that it would all end with her!" Luci said.
'As it would have, if Sheila didn't suddenly resurrect." Sapphire answered.
'Then why are you on odd terms with Alexander?"Claire asked.
'He already knew about it. He told me that Sheila is dead but wasn't surprised in the least when she came banging on the door and demanding for the kids, it was like he was expecting her," she answered in a clipped voice.
'Then I needed some time alone to tell her my thoughts, only to be informed that my grandmother was dead and it was because of me!" Sapphire added, by then a drop of tears were already falling from her eyes, but her voice was dry. 'She left this," She added, pushing the letter towards them and Luci took it from the table.
Sapphire dried her eyes as they read it.
'Those scumbags!" Luci said. 'There's no doubt that your grandmother was killed. I suspect that asshole Oliver, how about I try to find out more?"
'Oliver is dangerous, Luci.You shouldn't be around him for spying,"
'He is probably suspected as a spy already and I can't withdraw from what I am doing just like that without alerting him so the best I can do is gain a substantial amount of his trust and find some things out. When are they hosting the funeral?" Luci asked.
'I don't know. Max said that he would get in touch, Ruby was sorting out some things with him and Matthew." Sapphire answered.
'I think that you should talk to Alexander and ask him why he kept it from you. Everything happens for a reason and this is the man that loves you a lot that told you a lot about himself without batting an eyelid like you have been friends for centuries. You should sort it out with him as soon as possible," Luci told her.
'No, don't pressure yourself too much Sapphire, if you feel that you need space, give it to yourself. Don't hurry over to Alexander when you haven't got a good hold of your feelings. You would end up hurting both of you," Claire disagreed.
'But holding on like this and giving Alexander a cold shoulder is hurting the man, we should consider his feelings too," Luci insisted.
'No, think about it yourself and decide what is the best for you,"
'While also thinking what is best for him and considering his feelings too, and I think that you're not the only ones who have the right to give Alexander the cold shoulder, he should give it to you too." Luci replied.
'And why is that?" Claire asked and Sapphire also stared at her.
'You never told him that the kids didn't belong to you and how you got them, he might be respecting your space, maybe he found out by mistake. I mean the man promised to not dig into any matter that had to do with your past." Luci told them and they thought about it before nodding.
'I think you are right about that one," Claire said.
'Have you told the kids about Sheila and how everything is?" Luci asked and Sapphire shook her head.
'I haven't got the chance to do that,"
'Then get it done as soon as possible. Don't worry about it, those two cuties of yours are definitely not going to leave you. Not for someone like Sheila, Alexander too won't leave to be with her." Claire assured her by holding her hand over the table and Sapphire nodded, staring at Luci who also had an assuring smile on her lips.
She is glad to have them as friends.

'You give her some time to assimilate everything, it is too much for her. Don't worry, Xander. She would always come back to you," Alyssa assured Alexander with a comforting hand on his shoulder and the man nodded.
They were in his office at Triple A headquarters, and Alicia had rushed over when they heard that Sheila was back.
The woman had the nerve to contact them and inform them of her return to the city. They came to Alexander and he told them about what was going on between him and Sapphire.
He looks so downcast, he was assured that the woman wouldn't talk to him again but Alicia simply told him that he was being pessimistic.
'You would keep trying to get close with her and give her the closure she needs while giving her the space she needs, you need to let her know that she can always come running to you." Alicia added.
'She would come around but I guess that would be after the funeral is done." Alyssa said and Alexander groaned which made them stare at him in pity.
'You should also set up a meeting with Sheila, Shirley or whatever the damn name she is answering to now, in between, bribe her, threaten her, blackmail her, do whatever it is that would keep her away from your family," Zayn said entering the office and both Alyssa and Alicia rolled their eyes at the man, they wondered how he convinced Alexander to enter his office anytime. 'I particularly recommend sending her to the worst correctional facility that exists or letting her blow up in a beautiful dance with the fiery explosion if a car turns upside down in an accident."
'That's a damn long way of saying that you would like to kill her,"Alexander said and he nodded with a smile before plopping down on the couch and resting his legs on the coffee table.
'I am glad that you are able to figure that out," Zayn said with a grin. 'I would also help you to investigate that witch of yours, I have always wanted to do that since some years ago but what you say goes."
'You do that, I refuse to believe that she had no reason to turn my kids to blackmail Tools," Alexander replied before pressing the button on his table, Nate came rushing in.
'Yes, Mr. Aldine."
'Marcus, set up a meeting with Shirley Myles as soon as possible, I would like to have a word with her."
