Andrea cupped her small hands over her mouth and screamed, cheering for her and she felt the tears well up in her eyes, all she ever wanted was to make her kids proud and standing here, she made a quick conclusion that she had been trying her best.
'Thanks for this award, honestly, I didn't expect it," She said and the host nodded.
'You were the most loyal, we Danavivie had to recognize how virtuous you are, you were chased but still came back for your twin, many insulted you because of your kids and you still made no efforts to hide, instead you did action that screamed to the world that they are yours,"
'I think I have my husband to thank for the support mostly, I don't care about my past and he doesn't too, honestly he is the one that healed me. I wouldn't be able to smile here if it is not for him and after him comes my family,"
'Family?"
'I don't have to list them one after the other, my family knows themselves and we mostly aren't related by blood,"
'So in short, you don't care about what Ms. Heather and Mr. Oliver did to you anymore?"
'Have you heard of the words ‘let the past be the past'? And we Aldines, just as my daughter said, are the most forgiving," Sapphire said with a smile.
'So, if I may ask, Sapphire," the host said and the woman nodded for him to continue. 'Why are you wearing red today?"
'Because Revenge is best served in red," Sapphire said and the man stared at her in surprise. 'Happiness is the best of revenge you could ever get, that after everything that was done and before and during everything that would be done, the happiness won't stop and the smile won't ever leave your eyes,"
'Are you happy about the way the event turned out?"
'Of course, I wouldn't want anything to change, it is perfect exactly the way it is"
'And if you would allow it, can I call your kids to come on stage?"
'That choice is theirs,"
'Pardon us for coming to stand here," Andrew said with an apologetic smile. 'Even though there is nothing you can do if you don't like it," he added with a playful smile.
'Okay, Okay, since we had gathered fans all the way to the Danavivie's party, we would honor you with our presence, I am not that shy of the camera," Andrea said standing beside Andrew.
'So do you have anything to say about Ruby getting the award for the best gentleman of the year?" the host asked and Andrea smiled.
'Of course not, after all he is my uncle, let him hold the damn award for the best gentleman, my father is already stacking the award for the father in the world, he would continue to get it even after he turns to ghost," Andrea said and everyone in the room laughed.
'Yeah, even if you don't give the award to my mother, she is still the best thing me and twin have got, she is still the best gift that we have ever been blessed with and no matter which eyes everyone stare at her through, we, all those around her and her husband would always stare at her through the eyes that everyone stare at diamonds," Andrew said and Sapphire felt her eyes tingle.
'Wow, that's ……that's…..that's touching, how did you come up with that?"
'I didn't."
'You didn't?"
'It was a default speech from my brain, the kind of one that comes up in your brain when you stare at something, every time I stare at my mom, I only see diamonds," Andrew said and those who were sitting also had this awed look on their face.
'Now let me tell you all a secret," Andrea said and turned her back to her mother. 'Don't let dad and mom hear this but dad once referred to mom as a diamond and for a week, I wondered why she want named that instead of the Sapphire she was named because that is really what she is and I came with the conclusion that mom is like all kind of gems, doesn't matter if others have other opinion, they could get lost in fucking hell and kiss the devil's ass for me," Andrea said.
'Honestly, I hate Mr. Oliver Gray, Ms. Heather Smith and the Conrad family for causing my mom the pains she nursed for years but at the end of it all, she didn't break, do you know why?"
'Why?" The host asked.
'Diamonds don't break, they cut,"
'Wow, I didn't know that Andrew and Andrea grew up this beautifully," Luci said from where she sat, tears in her eyes.
'That is because you all raised them right, after all, they are our kids, all of us," Zayn said, resting an assuring hand over Luci's shoulder and the woman nodded.
'Why the hell is Alexander so cool?" Alyssa asked.
'What makes you say that?" Zayn asked.
'He had a rehearsal about the kids speech with them for more than twice a day before this event, the kids got the words themselves but he said that he would hate it if they started stuttering on the stage, look how relaxed he is on the chair," Alyssa explained pointing to Alexander whose eyes was glued to Sapphire.
'He said that today's show would be about them, no involvement of himself or ourselves,"
'Don't you think the man is obsessed with Sapphire, look, he won't take his eyes off," Claire said and they all laughed.
'He is probably bored out of his mind right now," Luci said.
'No, I don't think so, he has Sapphire as entertainment, but seriously he looks so cool, sitting there like the boss man, he is waiting for Sapphire so they can get the hell out of here, " Alyssa said.
Luci's phone rang and she saw that it was Hannah calling, she received the call and put it on speaker, not loud enough for all the people present to have a share in the conversation but enough for all of them sitting to hear what she was saying.
'That was a big success!" Hannah said in a thrilling tone. 'What is next?"
'Oliver would have an emergency press conference either tonight or tomorrow, I would confirm with him when, he said that he had to get to his grandfather first, then, he would get back to me, when he does, I would contact me but for now, go and dress up, it is time for you to meet Mr. Alexander and the kids, if something over your side then we can risk it," Luci said and Hanna gave a hum that told Luci that she was nodding her head in agreement.
'I would like Tina and the others to get home," Hannah said.
'That video of Venita's would be released in exactly ten minutes," Alyssa said, tapping on her phone.
'Okay perfect," Hannah said and disconnected the call.
Just a few clicks on Alyssa's phone, the host and the kids entertaining the guests, Sapphire staring at her kids while Alexander stared at them all, all of them relaxed after turning around that day's event, a video was released to the net and it revealed how proud, condescending, narcissistic, rude and how much of a bully Venita Conrad.
