ZAYN'S BASEMENT.
They all stared at the man in surprise, how is it that those people going about their daily life are worse than those of them in the Mafia?
If they wanted to do something, except the occasional scumbags who leave their world quicker than a bullet, they would all do it honestly and never involve someone who is not involved in their doings except it is absolutely necessary.
'What the hell?" Zayn said, and turned to look at Alexander who was staring at the man blankly, the doctor looked like he wanted the ground to open and swallow him.
Alexander stood up and walked to the back of the man, the doctor tried to strain his neck to see what he was up to but couldn't see anything he gave up for a while and started straining his neck again when he heard the sound of footsteps coming closer to him.
His face was awarded with a contact with the bat that was in Alexander's hand and he groaned in pain, the man hit his head with the bat and blood started seeping out from the wound that was dried up on his head. He hit face so hard with the bat that the man became unconscious, blood was trailing down the lines beneath his nose and staining his lips.
'I thought that he is not qualified enough to be tortured by you," Zayn said, handing Alexander a handkerchief when the man raised his hand.
'I changed my mind after hearing the words that came out of his mouth," Alexander said, with a grim expression and dumped the handkerchief in the bin. 'What is the loser up to these days?" He asked and Zayn handed him a file, his gut feeling told that he would ask for it after they were done with the interview.
'This is it, the man is preparing for the best gentleman award ceremony of this year," Zayn said and rolled his eyes. 'Now that I think about it, he really deserves the award that would be given to him," he continued, sarcastically.
Alexander continued flipping through the pages of the book, he checked the date and saw that the event was in a week.
'Why didn't the buzz of this event get to me?" He asked walking towards the door and Zayn followed him.
'Because you couldn't care less about what happened outside the bubble you created, you are only paying attention to it because it has something to do with Sapphire," Zayn told him and Alexander glanced at him, the man nodded.
'Get the evidence of what happened that day from the doctor when he wakes up and release him like he was never kidnapped in the first place," Alexander said, handing back the file to Zayn.
'How are you so sure that he have some kind of evidence against Oliver, that man is cruel,"
'Mike is a fox, there is eighty percent chance that he withheld information from us but I figure most part of the puzzle, if the man was as guilty as he said he was, he wouldn't interact with Oliver and Heather, he would leave the doctor license he tried so hard to protect and he won't be living in the top twenty estate in New York.
There is also a record of him being involved in a lot of abortion cases before that I am sure that not all of them were legal and he went on a trip to Miami after successfully getting rid of Sapphire's baby, that is not the characteristic of a guilt ridden person,"
'Now that you analyze it like this, it makes sense adding the information we had to what he told us, there is a lot of loopholes in his story,"
'He knows about the kind of person Oliver is, he would not let him catch him unaware when he wants to act crazy, the report said that he and Oliver's close friends knew about how bad he is,"
'Does he have close friends?"
'Yeah, he does, I would send you a report of who they are, why do you need it?"
'Since Heather doesn't have best friends that would betray her, Oliver would have to suffice," Alexander said and Zayn nodded.
'Do you know about Sapphire's pregnancy and the fact that it is aborted?" Zayn asked before he nodded in realization when Alexander glared at him. 'Of course no, right you didn't, if you did, you wouldn't have watch him do the nonsense he did all this days,"
'Honestly, even though I didn't do any investigation on Sapphire, I kind of guess that she was pregnant for Oliver, he wouldn't call the kids his if he didn't knew of a pregnancy that she once had, he seemed rigid about it but now that I heard about what that asshole did from that doctor, he has guts to say those words to her, a very high level of confidence," Alexander said with a scoff.
They already reached the door at the top of the stairs and placed his hands on the knob when he was stopped by Zayn.
'When did you start loving Sapphire? You were not even like this with Sheila and you had time to know each other, you have known Sapphire for not up to a year and you are already going out of your way for her, you promised not to get involved in our kind of business."
'It wasn't planned, I just knew that I would do anything for her, these kinds of feelings is so overpowering that you don't remember the memories of when they weren't there, so I don't remember when it start, I just know that I do, I love Sapphire and I would drag those who put her on misery through hell and everything deadly, they won't get their heaven or little paradise at the end, because by then, they would be as good as dead," Alexander said, and Zayn nodded.
'Are you going to go to that award ceremony without being invited?"
'Uninvited guests get the most attention and I want me, my wife and our kids to get the most of the attention that day,"
'You would spoil the party for the Conrads and the Gray,"
'How about you use a more advanced vocabulary like ‘ruin', spoiling sounds like an understatement," Alexander replied with a smirk, which Zayn mirrored, and got out of the place, shutting the door behind him.
Zayn stared at the door before an amused scoff fell from his lips, he is going to be an uninvited guest too, he won't miss the show for anything, it has been a while since Alexander planned out and executed crazy schemes, he shook his head and went down the stairs, ready to do what the protective man told to do.
