'You make it sound like it is a bad thing," she said, tilting her head to one side.
'You are insufferable!" He exclaimed and turned to the kids who were still at each other's throat. 'Stop bickering, you would give your mom a headache," he told them.
'You don't hear me complaining," Sapphire said and Alexander scoffed.
'Are you encouraging them? To continue fighting?" Alexander asked and Sapphire rolled her eyes at the dramatic man.
'Playing, not fighting, playing" Sapphire said and the kids moved closer to her before sitting beside them.
'You should get up soon, we have been waiting for you all this while, you have been sleeping since yesterday," Andrea mumbled and Sapphire turned to stare at the kids, Andrew nodded in confirmation.
'Yeah, we were," Andrew affirmed.
'You have to learn how to do things without me, I am going to start work very soon, would you keep dialing the office and asking me where I put your socks, shoes, hairpins and brush?" Sapphire said and both twins looked away.
Alexander processed the word and his eyebrows knitted together to form a frown.
'What office are you talking about? What office?" He asked and Sapphire turned to him.
'I am starting a job at SJAY , I would be a—-"
'No!" He declared and Sapphire raised a brow at him. 'That company is also owned by Oliver, I won't allow you to work there," He said.
'But he rarely comes there,"
'It is still a no, once he knows that you work in his company he would make life difficult for you," Alexander explained and Sapphire could not help the amused smile.
'But—"
'How about you work for me? At my company?"
'And what would I be doing there?"
'It is a company, you would do whatever you want to do there and I would pay you but it would be nicer if you just continue to have fun with our kids, while I still pay you,"
'And what would I call my job when asked?"
'Your job would be being my wife. When you are asked, just say that you are Mr. Alexander Aldine's wife."
'Then she would be lazy," Andrew added.
'That's how it is supposed to be, she married a billionaire. Of course, she should not work," Andrea said and Andrew shook his head at her. 'When I grow up, I would marry a billionaire who is at least like dad or more,"
'Everyone knows that you are a lazy ass," Andrew said and Andrea poked her tongue at him.
'You are just jealous that you have to work hard if you want someone like me to marry you,"
'I won't marry you if you were the last person on earth,"
'No shit idiot, you won't be able to marry me because you would not exist if I were the last person,"
'So, Sapphire, you already agreed that you are not going–" Alexander started to talk but Sapphire cut him off.
'No, I never said that,"
'But Andrea agreed with me,"
'And Andrew agreed with me," Sapphire countered. 'Don't worry about Oliver, Xander, he can't do anything, I just have a something to ask from you,"
'Anything,"
'I want your permission not to use Mrs. Aldine as my surname, I mean it would be weird if they all started behaving like I am some sort of god because of the name," she said and Alexander scrunched his nose.
'And they won't even know that you are already married and to me," He grumbled but nodded, 'Okay, just let them know that you already have a fiance, even if I don't like the sound of me being addressed as your fiance,"
'Gosh, you are not even the official husband," she said with a small laugh.
'Yet,"
'And we haven't walked down the altar,"
'Yet,"
'Then I haven't left you ,"
'Yet," Alexander said but his eyes widened when he processed her words, he did it so dramatically that Sapphire doubled over in laughter, as did the kids.
'So you want me to leave you,"
'No, no, I didn't mean to say that, I am just going with the….you know what, let us just stop this,"
'If he is not your official husband, then who is he to you?" Andrew asked.
Sapphire turned and stared at Alexander who was already staring at him and she smiled.

'He is my friend," She replied and Alexander also smiled, he understood the message behind her words.
She has finally considered him as her friend.
'Are you out to break dad's heart?" Andrea asked and Sapphire turned her gaze to her daughter. 'He is your husband but he accepted you telling you that he is your fiance and you what?" She put her hands on her waist and scoffed. 'You only consider him your friend?"
They all stared at her as she finished her word vomit, why is she angry?
'Don't take your anger out on everyone, can't you see that dad is smiling, it means that he is with it,"
'Can't you see that the poor man has no choice, he is smitten and would have to take whatever he is given," Andrea said.
'The word ‘poor man' can't exactly be used dad because he is a very rich man but whether smitten or not, he has to accept it like that,"
'You are talking about us like we aren't here," Sapphire said, chuckling.
'Because we don't care if guys are here or not," Andrea replied.
There was a knock on the door and everyone turned to stare at it.
'Come in," Sapphire said and the door opened, and Claire poked her head in, she ran her eyes over them all and smiled.
'A guy is here for you," Claire said and Sapphire tilted her head on thought when she knew that Claire was talking to her, she wondered who it could be.
'Didn't say his name?"
"I think he said Maxwell or was it Matthew?" She asked herself in doubt and Sapphire stood up, whoever it was, they are from the Conrad mansion and it isn't good news they would bring.
She had a conversation that is long overdue to attend to, her peaceful time is over.
