She took out her phone and walked up the stairs, she didn't raise her head once. She eventually bumped into Melissa who was just standing. She didn't raise her head or try to apologize, she just continued walking.
"Have you lost your manners because of your stay at that countryside,"
"Oh, I thought you have turned to a pillar, seeing as you have been standing at that spot for the past thirty minutes and not every single mistake has to do with manners, you saying it every time you see me not only makes you obnoxious but also a clown,"
"You have got to be kidding me, I lost face when you weren't here because of those bitchy things you did to Heather before you left," she said and Sapphire just stared at her, bored out of her mind.
It's the same story all over again.
How bad things were twisted, she loved Oliver with all her heart and considered Heather as her best friend, they both betrayed her and invited her to their wedding.
She was the one that introduced them to each other, she was only helping both of them.
Why didn't all these people that badmouthed her for running away from home ask Oliver why he left the girl who sacrificed her time to work for him.
The girl who would do everything and anything for him no matter what the risks were, how she had endangered her life over and over again.
His company is still using all the ideas she gave them, all the solutions she drafted, why can't they let all that go when he let her go?
It was the most comical happening of the century, the quick witted Sapphire couldn't suspect that he was having an affair with his secretary who is her own best friend and she didn't notice, it was all too cliche.
Maybe Oliver did answer the question but he gave them the truthful lies, he twisted the story so hard that she also almost believed it as she lay down in the white walls of the hospital where she was forced into as she stared at the pictures of her babies.
"And now I lost the opportunity to be with Alexander because of the bitch you are," Melissa said and Sapphire laughed sarcastically, they are going to be losing many more opportunities.
If they knew what was coming their way, they would have ran to the deepest of hole to hide themselves, she would transfer the pain she felt in that dreadful white room as she stared at the father of her child on the screen display all the affection she thought was for her on the screen for the whole wide world to see.
"So this is what this is about, Alexander?"
"As soon as you hear about the marriage to the Aldine, you came running home, all your moves were well planned,"
"You are mixing something up here Melissa, I was dragged here by your family, you participated in the search, why would I come running when I was satisfied with my life at Gisbourne,"
"If you were satisfied with your life and wasn't lusting after anything, you said you hid, then you should have hid harder because if you had done that I would have been dragged and forced to marry Alexander,"
"What a load of garbage!" Sapphire scoffed and Melissa stared at her in disbelief, she raised her hand and slapped Sapphire's cheek.
'Are you talking to me like that, you have these freaking guts because you are now getting married to Alexander? Huh? Don't forget your fucking place," Melissa already lost her cool, she couldn't accept the prideful lady that replaced her coward of a sister.
Sapphire started laughing, she laughed so hard that tears fell from her eyes, the pain in her eyes never reduced and the smile on her lips didn't leave, Melissa had never seen Sapphire look so crazy.
Sapphire stared at Melissa, still laughing, her sister was also part of the gang, they all planned the coup and she was the captain. She somehow managed to contact Heather and guide her in the steps to snatch her husband from her all because she didn't want Sapphire to live happily, she didn't want her to be with someone who loves her.
She didn't want her to be satisfied in her marriage, she didn't want her to have a happy home and because of that she ruined her life.
She would never have a happy married life thanks to her, her ex fiance, ex best friend and her stupid family.
She stopped laughing and stared at Melissa before she slapped her on the cheeks twice and hard. She had turned psycho, they shouldn't release their demons it will only awaken hers.
Melissa gasped with her hand on her cheeks, she had her eyes wide open in shock and terror.
No matter what painful thing she did to Sapphire in the past, no matter how much humiliation she put her through, no matter how many times she slapped her, she never retaliated, she would always beg and grovel.
What changed her so much?
"You dare to slap me once, I would slap you twice, with the things I am setting to stage after I am done with you, you would have to create a poll on that damn rich kids website on how to stop crying. So you are blaming me for being the reason you were not forced to marry Alexander," Sapphire asked, examining her hands for injuries, not raising her head to stare at Melissa's red cheek.
The most painful part of having your enemies as your families is that no matter what, they would always have that one percent chance with you, the chance that you don't want them to be gone forever, that one chance that you wish things were different and that they have done it differently.
'The nerve of you, bitch, are you that dumb? You have some pretty shitty reason there, that is all your pea sized brain could come up with. Get real, you shouldn't say all this trash outside," she said and began to walk away.
"And how does it concern you if I say it outside, you trying to cover up your ass?" She taunted and Sapphire stopped, she turned to her and scrutinized her from head to toe, Melissa felt uncomfortable under the stare, she oddly felt like she was being stared down, judged and estimated at the same time.
"You would simply give people another reason to believe the stereotype that all blondes are dumb," she said and Melissa stared at her her newly dyed hair, the blonde hair resting perfectly on her shoulder, she looked so appalled that Sapphire smirked in amusement, she was probably the first in a long time to use her sense of fashion to insult her and be successful.
Melissa scoffed in disbelief.
'And, you should be prepared to get angry a lot, all these things are just a warm up from me, say, I have to go and have breakfast with Alexander, like a date. I won't want to be late because I was dealing with useless things," Sapphire said and Melissa's face turned red, if she was a cartoon character, fire and smoke would be coming out of all the holes in her body.
She moved to Sapphire with the intention to slap her once again, she wasn't used to not getting her way and being taunted.
'There, there. You won't want triple the number of slap you give me now, would you?" She said and Melissa swallowed before moving back.Sapphire meant business.
'Or I get a good idea, you can slap me and I won't slap you back but I would mention your name if my fiance mention anything about the hand mark on my cheek," She said and smiled at her in a way that made Melissa want to bash her face in but there isn't anything she can do?
"Lissa," someone called from the end of the stairs and they both turned to stare at the person.
"Arielle," Melissa called and Sapphire rolled her eyes.
Here comes Melissa's favorite person, another pain in the ass to Sapphire, they sure like to try to torment her.
Sapphire turned and walked away from the duo.
